This vintage metal was found at an antique market many years ago. It was one of our very first pieces that we collected. It is cast in Sterling Silver and is hand oxidized and polished to show depth and detail. It is adorned with an 18K Gold jump ring. The story about Bernadette Soubirous is that when she was a young girl she experienced Marian apparitions of a young lady who asked her for a chapel to be built at the nearby cave-grotto at Massabielle. The lady who appeared to her identified herself as the Immaculate Conception. She is also known as Saint Bernadette of Lourdes and was French.
