Layered Look Instructions

Yes, we are specialists of the layered look. A simple concept that will help you create your own look. Just know that you can wear anything, but the key is your a;tude and how you own it. These three simple steps will get you there.

Step 1: The First Layer

Start with a shorter 16-inch or 18-inch necklace. This can be our diamonds by the yard necklace, a simple gold or silver necklace or one of our gold bead necklaces.

Step 2: The Second Layer

Add your favorite gold or silver or one of our signature mixed metal necklaces with a pendant or two or more. This can be 18 inches or 20 inches, ideally. We also love our new extension Connector Clasp pendant because it creates endless possibilities by opening to add multiple pendants.

Step 3: The Third Layer

This is where you get to add a gemstone necklace of your choice. Typically, an 18-inch works great. This can be a colored or neutral gemstone hand strung in gold, or hand-knotted, or strung with gold beads at the ends. This layer is where you get to decide what goes well with what you are wearing or a classic color for every day. Having several of these gemstone layers is a great way to build your collection. Maybe you are planning a big celebration where you would want to go with a diamond strand, or maybe it’s a silver or gold anniversary where a white sapphire makes the most sense. Wherever you are in your life story, this is the layer where you get a pop of color.
